Is that really the gen 3 rival? I thought it was that Wally guy?
And gen 4 was Bianca and Cheren. Nice pic though... Flapjack is the best.

@Anon1: Ruby, as he's called, is one of the playable characters in Gen 3. The other was May. Gen 3 was unique in that if you chose May, Ruby would be your rival, whereas if you played Ruby, May would be your rival. It's a cool dynamic that I'd like to see in other Pokemon games.

Cheren was definitely more your Rival than N in BW, though N was a more important character to the plot.
