It is a great manga, and top ten in mangafox.com, but i agree, being popular doesnt mean that everyone has heard of it, its not , for example, as popular in the hentai world. But Hilde is hot ^^

Actually, "Being Popular" means exactly that "a lot of people have heard of you." It is impossible to popular unless people have heard of it.
Unpopular is also a manifestation of "A lot of people have heard of it," they just don't like it.
The word you mistake is "unknown." It can be a great manga, but if not many have heard of it, it is relatively unknown.
