@Anon2 Lightning < Earth isn't a rule of "magic, its a rule of Pokemon.
In other media (for example, Naruto) Earth < Lightning.
So it all depends which rules Mishima decides to use for their battle.

There are no real "rules" in Fairy Tail. It always comes down to who can hit the opponent the hardest. Juvia fought Gray, water vs Ice. The only real reason Gray really won the fight is due to the fact Juvia loves him. The moment she got serious and her water was boiling hot, Gray got in a bit of trouble.

Fairy law only target and wound those that the user consider as a complete ennemy.

Jura and his guild lamia scales are Rival of fairy tail in the daimatou enbu, but outside of that the 2 guilds are allies.

Don't forget that Fairy tail, blue pegasus and Lamia scales fought side by side against Oraçion seis, and that both lamia scales and blue pegasus played an important role on research of the members of fairy tail after the use of fairy sphere.

Because of all that Laxus cannot possibly think of Jura as an ennemy, only as a rival, he cannot use Fairy law and he knows it.

On the other hand, i would love to see Erza cast a Fairy law on Sabertooth's masterbitch (Minerva).

We have yet to see Erza use one of the 3 fairy magic and minerva really deserves it.

@Anon6 Erza can't use any of the grand spells Cana can cause Mavis lent it to her(fairy glitter) fairy sphere is a defensive spell that you need more than one person to cast and fairy law only master and laxus can use it because master makarov taught it to laxus but if Erza could it would be better for her to use fairy glitter (annihilate Minerva ;3)
