I think it's also a reference to various Asian mythologies. Cause, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, (also referred to as Son Goku in Japanese, I believe) was offered a peach from the Jade Emperor's garden in heaven while he was a normal monkey. Upon eating the peach, the monkey gained heavenly powers and immortality. I think the sources vary upon how he obtains the peach, but it looks like this time Ahri is offering it to him. :3

@lagun08

That's odd. My version of the story is that Sun Wukong (Chinese name) was never a normal monkey, since he came from a mystical rock weathered by the nature. He went to heaven and ate their cuisines, which happen to be peaches and wine, and he has been hooked ever since. Sort of. He learned his heavenly powers from a saint of sorts and his immortality came from the time he was trapped inside of a burning pot of sorts. But whatever.

@ckretaznman

That's quite possibly true as well. My story, I know, comes from the Chinese version of the myth, but the Monkey King myth exists in most parts of Asia, going to Japan and Korea that I know of for sure. Your story may have been one of the alternate adaptations in a different country.

@Lagun08: The Story of Journey to the West came from China. Sun Wukong was born from a rock, hence he is called the stone monkey. He was never a normal monkey. Every other story is an adaptation of the original Chinese legend.

I like this piece of art, but to honest, I don't really like to see a Ahri/Wukong shipping.
Not because I've my own shipping with Ahri (kinda a guilty pleasure) but when I see Ahri, I see a beautifull, smart, cunning, charming woman who can be cold, immoral, cruel.
Plus she wants to be human and, after absorbing people energies, she had remorses. (Looks her signature phrase "Mercy is a human luxury, and responsibility".
We can have something deep and interesting with her....

But, franckly, I find It'll be a huge waste to see her go out with the typical "Hot-Blooded/Overconfident/Monkey" character who is Wukong!
