I'd just like to point out that Ezio's hidden blades in the games are indeed longer than those of his counterparts.
Fully extended, they're almost the length the length of his entire forearm, from wrist to tip of the blade.
Altair's, on the other hand, is barely half of that. Not to mention that Ezio has two.
Connor does too, technically, but he prefers to split things with his tomahawk to Ezio's deft and elegant approach.

I though they were referring to their individual games,
Altair's story was the larger in scope... Laying the groundwork and such
Ezio's story is longer branching 3 games and a movie, Altair's story had several branching incarnations as well but only 1 real main console game
Conner's story was the biggest change up, and I personally have had the hardest time 100% it, I never 100% AC1 or 2 cause of flags and feathers, I did Brotherhood, Revelations, and the DLCs
