Yes, "Vicky" is her Japanese name and "Jinja" in America. I was a little suprised after looking it up on Wikipedia.

Only reason I can think of for changing it is that they didn't want any little kids getting her confused with another redheaded teenager named Vicky from another show on the same channel.
