this would never happen, since konoha will never allow him to rise past genin

Anon2, shut up. All Naruto needs to do to rise past genin is participate in the Chunin Exam and display his skills in a way which proves that he has the capacity to think and act on a chunin level. No one is holding him back.

And if you mean Sasuke--please; he's more than capable of becoming jonin, let alone chunin. Of course, that's assuming that he's allowed to live, return to Konoha, allowed to be reinstated as a Konoha ninja. Given his past actions, none of that is very likely, but Kishimoto has the final say. It just may happen.

Yeah. This outcome is about as likely as anything that occurs in Naruto. Like Neji dying. Oops. Spoiler.

rising past genin means he's able to access his parents estates, which ALSO mean that the hokage and the elders would have to explain how they allowed the heir to uzugakure, and the son of their beloved yondaime to be so poorly treated. More then likely they would have a furious daimyo on their hands as he was probably kept out of the loop on Minato's child. And before anything is said, Naruto is the last male Uzumaki meaning that the lands that made up Uzugakure belong to HIM.

Naruto has proven multiple times before and during the war that he deserved a battle field promotion, but was never given one. technically he is still just a genin, and that's probably where he will stay.
