but really, while Rei should be happy by all means, Shinji and Kaworu just seem to fit. kaworu loves Shinji (for some reason), and seems to be the only love interest that doesnt cause Shinji a nerval breakdown...
why Mari x Asuka got so popular got me wondering tough. i mean im all for yuri, but except for a little dialogue and fightign together, the only real indicator for yuri between them is the 4 seconds preview shwing their half-destroyed EVA's are gonna be merged together in the next movie.
