Well, yuri is so prevalent in anime because Japan is under the delusion that lesbian sex can't possibly be real sex. It's pretty offensive actually. Yuri is just for beta males who can't cope with the idea that their pure heroines want the D.

Not true.

The delusion isn't that the sex isn't real, it's that it's lesbian relationships are "a phase" that girls will sometimes go through and eventually grow out of.
