Supposedly, in the old legends about lycanthropy, intercourse with a werewolf is one of many ways to contract it, in addition to bites, wearing a wolf-skin belt, eating a lycanthropous flower, ingesting certain potions, sleeping outside under a full moon, being genetically related to a werewolf, or even drinking from a stream down-river of a werewolf. There are supposedly many others.

Another fun one is that, in Dance in the Vampire Bund at least, Sex while in Werewolf form is the only way to ensure the resulting child is also a werewolf.
