Everyone knows who Tobi is, that doesn't stop us from missing him though. Most people have separated Tobi and Obito as characters for this exact purpose, goofy shenanigans.

How is Tobi/Obito immortal? It's just his sharingan that lets his body move between dimensions and seem like stuff is passing through him, he's not immortal.
