Anon5- She may be kinda girly compared to the other main ponies, but considering she is so much into fashion, I think that the black makes sense. Black looks good on everyone and with everything. It can also make a lot of things look better and neater. It is a very stylish shade. But you are right; #4 looks a bit too drab for Rarity.
