Y'know, after all the time the game spent telling me "you've got to be true to yourself", the newer versions of P4's ending seem to imply something more along the lines of "be more homogenous".

After P4Arena, which takes place between P4 and the true ending of P4G, nobody wanted to be the people clinging to the past, so they changed. Pretty much everyone there is more true to themselves, though: Naoto and Chie to themselves as women, Yukiko as the inn manager, Rise as an idol, and Kanji to his less masculine side.

Didn't realize Chie wasn't being true t herself as "woman", since it never felt like she was trying to act less like a woman, just that she was the type of woman who was somewhat tomboyish/athletic.
