It's part of the ending. After the final battle, you're free to roam the world and basically choose who you end up with. The 4(3) bandits are a possible ending, as seen above.

No Goblin Girl in the group work because she is from a different artist. Plot-wise, she's out travelling.

Goblin Girl gets the biggest art quality upgrade in Part 3 though.

There are no real multiple endings, just game over - wannabes. In all of these you get a similar game over screen. If there was an aftermath and credits then I would call it an ''ending''.
