The whole point of the One Ring is that it's an irresistible temptation. Having the personification be beautiful and alluring makes perfect sense.

Very nice. The Ring being beautiful and good looking makes a lot of sense. After all, Sauron used to go around looking like a bishie pretty boy.

The only reason he doesn't look like that nowadays is that he was given the smack down and punished to never again be able to take on fair form after the shit he pulled in Numenor.
