Chiho is hotter but she seems like an outsider looking in. Emi has more in common with Maou, there's more tension in their relationship and it's honestly more fun to see them interact with their back and forth banter. I don't usually bank on the MC ending with the tsundere main girl that gives him a hard time that goes out of their way to be stubbornly unlikeable because it feels forced and kind of telegraphed like a romcom but it feels kind of natural in this case.
