he looks like a rock climber and his hair seems to have gems in it. I don't thing he'll be a dark type gym leader.

He's a rock type gym leader no doubt about it. That pose and the rock-climbing gear are a dead giveaway.

The real question is, will he suffer the same fate as all rock type leaders by being the FIRST one we beat?
