That is also a Howa Type 89 of the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force, not an American M16.
...of course, there is another soldier up on the, eh, bird...and it's beyond my ability, to determine what sort of rifle it is that he's carrying, exactly, so... Does look like some sort of bolt-action sniper's rifle, though.
