...unless that (parody of a Tamiya) kit - with the "Girls und Pantzer" references on the box - was an Airfix one, made by Humbrol (now owned by Hornby), based here in Hull, where I live.

Several years ago, there were two "Stratos 4" related kits of the BAC TSR-2 made by Airfix, which sold out a storm in Japan:
