kirogazen, the reason for the "swastika" is that it ISN'T a swastika. If you look at the way "Bankai" is written in the Japanese version of the manga, it uses two characters, the first of which is a manji that means "Full" (As in Full Release, what Bankai means). That manji can be described as a "backwards swastika". The Tsuba of Ichigo's Bankai is the manji "Ban", not a Swastika.
