I think the librarian is mad because someone razor-sliced out the pictures in the book. One of the basic forms of book vandalism that libraries encounter.

mcrimea - The book here hasn't had that kind of vandalism. In case this is a new concept to you, cutting out multiple pages in such a manner is deigned to make it a hiding place for things, hence the pendent she is holding. You might want to take a really good look at a picture before you comment on it, because that was just too friggin' stupid.

Storage books are designed with pages like that, traditionally to hold alcohol flasks.
