Unfortunately, like most vessels in the spirit of Yamato's namesake, it's not the size that matters but how quickly it can maneuver and adapt. In fact in actual battles a cannon that big becomes a liability, hence why armed forces have switched to the 'small but powerful and quickly reloaded' design.
There's a lesson in there, somewhere.
