M'kay, so, in Battle of Pelusium, the Persian empire supposedly won against the Egyptians by tying cats on their shields. The Egyptians were kinda like the Crazy Cat Lady of the ancient world-- they were beloved, highly revered, and very, very, VERY sacred. There's no way in hell that an ancient Egyptian ever harm one. So, lo and behold, they surrendered to the Persians.
