The original games were pretty poorly designed. Just look at all the errors with type effectiveness and all the glitches.
Funny enough, XY are the first gen to have major bugs since then. GF got lazy on playtesting because the 3DS is capable of patching, but a bunch of people still lost their saves because of that idiotic save spot glitch.
