I think the ring on the table doesn't make the image better. It suggests that she hates her husband. It would be better if she left the ring on suggesting she also loves her husband but doesn't really care about loyalty because she is a complete slut.

In Japanese Media taking the ring off it's a sign of respect for the person that's being cheated on since the ring it's the symbol of the union of two persons that love each other. It's like saying " I won't stain the pure symbol of his love for me."
