different countries, different rules. every country has censorship laws. doesn't help in the original version, they were, by the standards of the US, under-aged*in Japan, the age of consent is around 14-15, same thing with dead or alive, the characters are under-aged as well* also, part of the reason why they were censored, was because of backlash at the art-style, some group thought the chibi art-style was their actual height and size*like the group thought they were children, not teenagers, so they flipped*
remember the anal probing scenes from south park the stick the truth had to be censored in parts of europe, or get banned.
