@Anon1 Sorry, but no. Not the best Zelda. In fact, I would go so far as to say the 2nd worst Zelda. She's only slightly better than Ocarina's Zelda who is pretty much the reason we have the split timelines and all of those timelines are screwed. Triforce of Wisdom my ass. THIS Zelda literally did nothing but spout exposition and let her kingdom be taken over. I felt no reason to come and save her ass. Ever. Whereas Skyward Sword's Zelda, while much simpler in design, is a more likeable character that I WANTED to save.
So design wise? Maybe this is the best Zelda. Character-wise? Hell no.

Anon #4: Well of course she was gonna let her kingdom get taken over, she knew she wasn't the hero. She passed on WISDOM to Link, letting him know his destiny like she always do, and then let the events unfold. I might sound one sided and you guys can smash on me all you like if you must, this is personally my favorite Zelda. Skyward Sword Zelda, from what fan art portray her as, seem like a loud, always happy, bubbly princess and we already have one of those (Peach). Twilight Princess Zelda showed me that a princess can be useful instead of just always being captured.

Anon 4: To be fair about the storyline, Princess Zelda made the greatest sacrifice in TP when restoring Midna's dying life. You conveniently forgot/omitted that. I think it's ridiculous to compare her from each storyline. One can have preference, but to be dogmatic? That's redundant.
And for the record, I completely agree with Roy_Kimura. Zelda knew the enemy and that it needed to be conquered, but she also knew that it was not her fate to do so. She had to trust Link. Recognizing the problem is just the first step. Knowing how or by whom it should be solved is another. Now THAT'S wisdom!
