Kazuto wasting him in the 2nd to last and final episodes made me laugh so hard I got a boner.

I felt the violence against him was a bit excessive though. It's hard to like Kazuto and sympathise with him despite what happened to him. Meanwhile the creator of SAO (Kayaba Akihiko), aka the Real Bad Guy is somehow treated as an honourable and mystical figure, despite him causing many deaths, for no fucking reason!

Sugou was worse, in many ways. Kayaba, while insane, was at least fair. Sugou, however, was only interested in power, and didn't care how he got it... the fact that he was experimenting on three hundred people, meant nothing. Likely, they would never have woken up...

As for Kazuto, I didn't have any problems liking him... and felt that Sugou, got off lightly...

I agree more with Anon2 honestly. Kayaba trapped and killed thousands in his death game and somehow gets to go out some mythical figure. Sugou was bad and a twisted person. Keeping the players he did trapped like that and experimenting on them. But I don't think he's worse than Kayaba. Far more people psychological scarred and damaged because of the shear number.

At least Sugou is going to end up in jail and experience the consequences of his actions. Kayaba? He gets the easy way out and gets to live in proxy as some Jesus AI program.

Both are bad guys. Even if you can feel one is worse than the other it's like asking is Hitler worse than Stalin? Does it matter at that point?
