Our betrayed and butchered queen did not falter, cornered up the steppe of Amberfield. We made our stand against the sky itself, aflame in the ancient Straitlord's curse.

When the twinkled sabers sliced her vengeful flesh, our queen did not yield. She did not stumble when her most ancient blade shattered. She took it up and alone slew the last of our traitors. She did not halt when her sundered heirloom then pierced allied flesh, nor when she carved her way through our ranks, nor when our panicked archers littered her mantle.

"Why?" we pleaded, "We are your most loyal, your most faithful! We are yours and yours alone! Why?"

The Wrathqueen spat azure flame from her bascinet. "A mere soldier dies," she growls, "A mere soldier turns. A mere soldier is loyal, is faithful! Which of thou wilt walk with me against the flames of hell? Which one of thou wilt stand with me against gray death himself? Show your worth! Fall upon your swords, curs, for I will soon fall upon ye myself!"
