True dat. Actually, I know more Japanese cutters than other ethnicities.
Their cultural psychology is interesting in that anger is not directed outwards, rather it is directed inwards in the form of self-hate; sometimes this becomes an interesting spiral into pure self-loathing i.e. suicidal tendencies.
Cutting is interesting because there are multiple possible reasons. Most cases are fairly typical for the course; multiple light cuts - these are usually just cries for help and all that business.
The far more interesting minority cases are those that inflict self harm because they feel they need to punish themselves, as they see themselves as totally inferior and useless.
