I have never played Mother; I have never played Earth Bound; I am still mad as hell that Nintendo refuses to respect the franchise in the states. It's so raw, this would be a perfect way to bring a title out targeted at Nintendo's aging fan base.

whats stopping you from playing mother 1, 2 or 3?? emulate that shit or get a cheap japanese copy off ebay. Nintendo also has mother2 on the wiiu virtual console. although i grew up in the 90's... this isn't the 90's anymore... and Nintendo is a completely different company now... i feel most of us (aging fan base) have moved on. i don't hate Nintendo i just don't see them the same way as i use to.

Hey, don't forget us Europeans! No Mother game was ever released here. At least until Earthbound came on the Wii U's virtual console.

I'm going to play Earthbound, then Mother 3 on an emulator and be ready on time for the fan-created Mother 4's release!

It took time but 2015 we finally got Mother 1 out of Japan. I'm so hyped that Nintendo will release Mother 3 sametime when they release Lucas Amiibo. It will happen it's only matter of time now. You can't have 2 without 3. Unless you're Valve (Ba-dam-tsing)
