NO! No DLC. That would be a sign of an inferior and incomplete game. Give it to us all at once or don't bother releasing it.

DLC is the freaking bane of today's video games. We shouldn't have to pay more money just because the developers half-assed a release.

Not all DLC's are a sign the game is incomplete. Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge for the Wii U added Momiji & Kasumi some months after the game was complete and those two were not planned to be in the initial game or the Bioshock: Infinite Burial at Sea DLC which takes the player back to Rapture.

Sakurai is not gonna pull any DLC bullshit 'cause that's something the likes of Capcom would do instead.

Anyway, Ness has been present since Smash 64 so he'll definitely be included, besides we previously saw the Franklin Badge and a Mr.Saturn in screenshots so he's a given.

Lucas on the other hand...

He will. And this is not something he gets to decide anyway, he works for Nintendo. People often forget this detail.
