Why is it that pixiv pics sometimes don't load as pics here until you go to pixiv to view them first? Makes it hard if you don't have an account with which to view 18+ images and don't really want to get one...

No, it's not new (at least, it's been happening for a year or so). Instead of the image loading, the text with all the tags loads. Right-Clicking "View Image" leads to a 404 error, but this only happens with 18+ pixiv images. Trying to visit the source page for a lower-age-rated pixiv image and then reloading the gelbooru page often fixes the problem, for some reason.

Let me guess, you're running Windows.

If so, this is a known problem with how browsers sometimes fail to properly allocate memory for large files. This has more to do with how large a picture file is and not with its rating. That's what happens to me anyway. Most of the time, just refreshing the page solves this problem.

If it's still a different matter for you then I don't know what to say. I doubt it'd be a problem with our site, the likes of witch I can comprehend.

We are currently using forum #2826 for discussion of maintenance matters if you want to bring it up there.
