I'm going to try coming up with an explanation, although it may sound a little cliche.
The world is covered in machines, with few trees left standing. This brings about the ruin of humanity as seen from the red liquid (blood) flowing from a sewage pipe (humanity turned to waste).
The clouds part and a cube descends, it possibly being humanity's salvation. But humans being human, we fear the unknown, and fire a large bullet at the cube. Result in our salvation being lost. (Can't come up with what the thing flowing out of or into the cube could symbolize)
Not sure what else to add other than that :/
