She's supposed to be an android. The manga/anime is actually pretty unclear on how robotic she actually is, all we really know is that she at least kept her ability to reproduce sexually (as far as her being heavy/hard or whatever, I'm sure Krillin can handle it, he's taken worse poundings before).

Adding to what ThatOtherGuy posted, 18 (whose real name is confirmed to be Lazuli by Akira Toriyama) is technically a cyborg. More importantly... Doesn't matter, had sex.
