XIII was a massive disappontment to the entire franchise and was overrated by its fanbase and critics from the West and Japan
-story made no sense and poorly excuted
-horrible voice acting
-extremely linear
-level caps
-no towns
-hardly any side-quests outside of killing monster
-level cap
And the list goes on and on.
XIII-2 was even worse the original:
-The story was garbage
- the writing was terrible in every cutscene and it made me mute my TV
-the game was incomplete and you had to pay DLC for the full experience
-It had the worst ending to the series
Lightning Returns was...meh. It's not good or bad and probably average, and the battel system was way better than the first two.
But thank god they finally ended this series. I can't believe this game had a trilogy in the first place.
