I'm a little confounded why the kids don't have the Byakugan, even though it seemed to be implied it's inherited. They should have gotten it from Hinata. Some could argue it might appear later in their life, but flashbacks of Hinata showed she had it as a small child. I kinda hope it shows up in some way, even as a sort of on and off thing like how the Sharingan can be turned off.

I mean, how else are we going to have our Bolt and Salad OP as hell child of chaos?

I kept thinking the same thing. Maybe since Hinata seems to have said "fuck you" to her clan, the Hyuga elder (Now Hiashi?) said "fuck your kids' Byakugan then". As covetous as Hyuga are about their doujutsu, there's gotta be a way to give and take it right? Aside the curse seal? Maybe only male Hyuga can pass on byakugan eyes?

Also, Naruto has no prosthetic hand in frame 4

I was thinking maybe Byakugan is a recessive trait.

Recessive gene. Up till now we've not really seen much cross-clan breeding. Actually, pretty much all we've seen was Senju and Uzumaki, right? And certainly not Hyuga's marrying outside their clan. Either Bolt and Salad's kid'll have sharigan or byakugan, or, alternatively, some odd fusion of both that surpasses the power of either. Or nothing. Nothing says the children inherit the power of the parents (paraphrased).

Anon3, let's keep in mind that technically with her third eye, Kaguya has the powers of Sharin/Rinnegan and her eyes were the byakugan. So a combination would probably be a muted level of Kaguya.
Also, Uzumaki and Senju have traits that were passed on via cross-clan breeding. Namely how Naruto is severely hard to kill. He's half Uzumaki, half Namikaze. Karin also possesses the 'hard to kill' trait as stated by Kabuto. And so does Nagato. In fact, every Uzumaki crossbreed we've seen has kept Uzumaki longevity and I figure that would be more recessive than a Dojutsu.
Senju seem to pass on, if nothing else, indomitable will. Tsunade has displayed this in the past on several occasions. Keep in mind that Mokuton was specific to Hashirama, not Senju.

In conclusion, Naruto has built us up on the assumption that kakkei genkai are always passed down to their children. All of Ino, Shikamaru and Choji's kids are cross-breed and all of them have the Yamanaka/Nara/Akimichi abilities. So Sarada most likely definitely CAN get the Sharingan provided she's met with enough trauma to activate it. (i.e. Obito didn't have his until he was 13 and that was considered Late)
But it still begs the question of Boruto and Himawari's byakugan since neither possess the infamous 'white eyes' that the rest of the hyuga have.

actually Himawari has the byakugan. it was shown when her brother accidentally tore her favorite teddy bear. she activated her byakugan and got really scary/sadistic in her search for her brother. She is good enough that she knocked her father Naruto out in one strike when he tried to placate her.
