Yes, it can. Like everything else, it just takes practice. Also, it obviously helps if you control your level of erection to keep from going completely hard (90% is probably good enough), which would make it harder to bend (and also reduce sensitivity to a degree), which also takes practice. If you're the type who can't completely keep yourself from getting erect with only your own willpower, you probably aren't the type who can pull this (or anything fancy for that matter) off.
