I can already see something like this happen with Cyrus when they inevitably do the D/P/Pla remake...that and rediscovering Charon's lost robot toy for a steel/ghost or fighting/ghost sentai Robot forme.

Unfortunately they are probably referring to the alternate version (OR for AS, AS for OR). I would really like it if the pokemon remakes are actually a separate timeline though; all Legend of Zelda style.

Actually I seem to recall the alternate timeline being referred to as one without mega evolution or without the war from 3000 years ago which would mean the alternate reality is the original R/S/E and not OR or AS
