While I totally appreciate the old-school Ghostbusters comment, I'm pretty sure that they aren't actually floating.
I would say it is more of a context environment for the background, than a background environment in which the (super sexy) subject is physically located in.
That is;
Subject - woman and boy going at it.
Background - schoolroom, therefore they must be student and teacher.

Honestly, I think it was an interesting artistic choice that Zuburoku has made and I generally love the majority his work.
