Also, rather than Greninja, i would have given naruto a Shiftry, another ninja pokemon except this one (according to lore) controls winds. Additionally, Shiftry has the grass type, a reference to Naruto's previous incarnation : Hashirama

but Shiftry is a tengu and Susanoo are based on tengus. if anything, Shiftry would be something for the Uchihas

The tengu theory was something brought at first, but later versions of susanoo made the tengu link blurry at best. Even Madara's perfect susanoo is no tengu, just a typical samourai armor, dread mask included.

Shiftry would work nicely as a reference to Jiraiya, with the long white hair and the geta sandals. I think Eevee is in this due to its fox-like appearance.

I think eevee's there because of Naruto's unpredictable nature since eevee has multiple evolutions. I mean u have

Fire: flareon
Water: vaporeon
Electric: jolteon
Psychic: espeon
Dark: umbreon
Ice: glaceon
Grass: leafeon
And fairy: sylveon

Maybe in Sun and moon there will be new versions.
