They're just filler characters. Remember that only 1/3rd of the graduating teams became genin right away (original bell test) - those are the ninja who didn't make it or who maybe branched off to the science or interrogation areas, like Shiho.

Well, whatever the case is, it's true that Naruto became Hokage which was his dream, and has his own family; in short, his life doesn't concern Sasuke and Sakura's family.
There is no friendship between them anymore, just respect between adults, Hinata never seemed to have any female friends, so it's most likely just Sakura and Ino still hanging together, including maybe Tenten too.
There is that case where Sarada follows Boruto for some reason, but that this more of a child thing, and other than that weird event, it seems they aren't close.
Team 7 friendship and bonds don't exist anymore.
Naruto is big Hokage now, but that doesn't have anything with his former teamates in the slightest.

Goes to show anyone can be a winner if you use your head and try to limit any poor choices you could make.

I'd like to point out this "loser" surpassed pretty much everyone he knew, saved the world, has the most badass demon, kept everyone alive, got the hottest bustiest wife, became Hokage and had two kids. I think he's pretty accomplished.
Goes to show anyone can be a winner if you use your head and try to limit any poor choices you could make.

Although I will concede that I do not consider Hinata the hottest or bustiest wife. But alas only main characters were in contention for the pairings so it's not like the choice is a huge surprise.
6. You can't fault the character for off screen stuff. You've got to take that up with Kishimoto. Although a lot of this is going to be adressed in "The Last".
