Well let's see... her parents are dead, the civilization that raised her is extinct, she was made the lap dog of quite possibly the worst character in any Nintendo game to date. There are many reasons why she could be breaking down really. Sometimes it's nice to have a moment to let it all out, though I'm sure she's not too keen on the idea of letting anyone see. Thankfully Ike's cape makes for a nice cover, and his back for nice support.

Starting to actually cozy up to the idea of this ship... I mean if smash can bring them all together, I'm pretty sure Ike would be the only likely candidate for someone like Samus to be interested in...

There is one other thing Ike is doing for Samus in this picture, holding her hand. I kinda see it as him letting her know she has his support.
