The funny thing is she could be playing hopscotch and it wouldn't matter; there's a LOT of pull needed to yank the pin out of a grenade.

Even if the pin came out -- which it never would in this situation, you gotta pull it out REALLY hard -- the grenade still wouldn't go off because the lever needs to come off as well.
This is actually a really good fear torture method as long as the victim doesn't know how grenades work.
