Why is the yaoi tag there. This isn't male on male.

A man (plural men) is an adult male human. A creature is classified as male when it has male genitalia. "He" has no penis therefore not a male therefore not a man.

On this site yaoi is defined here as "romantic or sexual interaction between two or more males". Since "he" is not male and there are only 2 characters present, this is obviously not male on male therefore not yaoi.

He is actually classified as a male so the yaoi tag is valid.

Does that mean we can start adding yuri to futanari pics, since they're considered female? Or is this going to be a sexist double standard?

Oh wait, you're already doing that.

"We" aren't doing that; that image came in tagged like that from Danbooru, and unfortunately we aren't able to check the tagging on every image that comes in to the site. I can (and do) see when the "yuri" tag is added to a post, but the tag edit queue only includes edits, not entries for posts that have just been uploaded.

Despite what Daijin said, we do not classify this as male, and thus do not classify this image as yaoi. When I stumbled upon this image in the tag edit queue, another moderator and I discussed possible tagging solutions for this type of image, but have not yet come up with a workable idea. "cuntboy" is too much of a slang term and has already been rejected as a tag; "reverse_newhalf" (working from the precedent from "reverse_trap") is awkward; and going ahead and classifying a character this masculine as a reverse trap didn't sit well with us. Ultimately we didn't come up with anything solid enough to present to the rest of the team for discussion, so we decided to leave it for another time.

I had intended to remove "yaoi" and add "androgynous" to this image for the time being, but since we weren't yet able to come up with a solution, I decided to leave it alone for the time being. I can see now that this was a mistake, so I've gone ahead and made that change.

Since this is clearly an issue that's been popping up more and more, we will begin more aggressively searching for a solution. Hopefully we'll be able to come up with something equivalent to "newhalf" for images like this, but for now, this character is androgynous. Not male, not female, and not futanari. We simply don't have a classification for this gender yet.

Why not use "cuntboy" until you find something better? I know it's slang, but since there doesn't seem to be a better term for it yet and other terms have issues (Sankaku Complex use "transgender_male" but it has the same issue as "reverse_newhalf") at least you would be calling it something more informative than "androgynous".

That would be problematic, since we have no way of knowing for sure that our inability to find a good solution will be temporary.

In the meantime, I'm creating a pool. It's less useful than a tag, but since images like this are quite rare, the inability to search within the pool shouldn't be too big of an issue. Feel free to add any images you find of cuntboys to the pool. They are quite uncommon and currently very difficult to find, so having a central place to keep track of them for when we do come to a decision will be quite useful.

We have decided to go with "reverse_newhalf" for images like this.

Oh yeah, think you all so smart?
Then how about adding "male_on_wtf" tag?!
