Looks like she's catching a piece of popcorn or candy in her mouth.

The problem there is that her creepiness is never shown as pathetic or wrong. She's described as being in the right, not needing mental help.

Don't you know anon? I's cute when girl is beeing a creepy stalker. Seriously though, I think there were some episodes exactly about it in Rock Lee anime.

^Its getting really sad when people are actually using a spin off/filler that exaggerate every character for comedic purpose as evidence for why is character is X.

@Anon 2

@1703100:

It's actually stated she watched him from afar "a lot" and that she "watched him train a lot" as well in the manga. We don't know how much "a lot" is, but it's implied that every time she failed she went to watch Naruto to regain confidence (which, considering the outright statement that she failed D-rank missions by her team mates and teacher, is apparently quite a lot). She's cute, I'll give you that, but she's a bit creepy. One wrong move on Naruto's part and she might've turned into a Yandere, if it wasn't for the whole "kids/teenagers shounen" genre thing going on. If it was any other genre she would be the Yandere to Sakura's Tsundere.

Hinata have seen Naruto lose confidence in himself twice and was there there to snap him out of accepting Obito offer.She okay with Naruto not accepting her love she just wanted him to understand how she feels towards him and that she'll always be by his side.Also Sakura isn't a tsundere she only likes Sasuke in a romantic manner while she always sees Naruto as that little brother who couldn't catch a clue(though he has plenty of times).

@#1703703:
People don't just turn Yandere. You'd have to be a sick-in-the-head psychopath in the first place. Shy girls who have difficulty convincing themselves to hurt and kill their enemies in a life and death scenario don't turn into murderous psychopathic lovers AKA Yandere. It was stated and shown multiple times that she is a gentle soul who wouldn't hurt anyone if given the choice. Does that sound Yandere to you? You need to stop confusing all of those Hinata-bashing Fanfictions you read for canon material.

@Anon7:
Twice that we know of. There were flashbacks, and it was implied that the shown scenes weren't the only times she watched him.

I also think him needing to be snapped out of accepting Obito's offer was a bullcrap scene. He was full of resolve at the time, and he should've snapped and told Obito that it was Obito's fault that most, if not all, of the things mentioned had happened (Naruto's parents dying, growing up isolated, etc.) as a result of Obito's actions. Therefore, it was his fault and it'd be a stain on their memories if he accepted. That's what should've been said.

Please re-read the last couple sentences in 1703703. Please don't confuse what I'm saying. I'm not saying Sakura was the tsundere love interest. I was saying that, if Naruto had been a more romance-centered manga, she would've been the tsundere love interest and Hinata would've been the Yandere love interest. Not that they were.

@1703901:
Except, you know, for the fact that there are plenty of "gentle, loving" characters that turn Yandere, right? But I guess that doesn't matter worth crap when we're talking about Hinata, right, since apparently she's perfect? Kotonoha Katsura wasn't a sick-in-the-head psychopath to start with, and neither is Aragaki Ayase. Both were described as gentle, kind people. Well-mannered, nice, polite, etc. They both were portrayed in that manner, as well, until later in their respective series where they went mad with jealousy, hatred, or possessive love (depending on the route taken in Kotonoha's case).

If your only experience with a Yandere is from "Future Diary" you might want to stop talking, to be quite frank. Yuno Gasai is an extreme, not the rule. She also didn't really start psycho, either, though, so your point is still rather invalid. Abuse does terrible things to people, you know?

Like I said, Naruto was a kid/teenage aimed shounen manga, and it didn't have an emphasis of romance. If it had been another genre, she would've been the Yandere love interest. It didn't, and she wasn't.

I don't read bashing fanfiction, either, thank you very much. Neither, however, do I read glorification fanfiction like you seem to. :-P

"If your only experience with a Yandere is from "Future Diary" you might want to stop talking, to be quite frank. "

Says the guy who doesn't know there's way more types of "Dere"s than Yan and Tsun.

Hinata is a Dandere - Shy, quiet, and anti-social (Kind or not is not obligatory, but shy types are usually kind so it overlaps most of the time), and becomes more open, confident and strong out of love and friendship. That is an actual "Dere" type that indeed exists - There are several types of Dere's, mangakas are quiet so one dimensional as to label EVERY single female they make with certain traits either Tsundere or Yandere.
