Ya pretty much have to play the games at least 3 times to have the most of it.

The white, the black, and the grey... not the mention all the pairings and optimization.

Updating with some official names:

The MCs name is Kamui (though I'm assuming like Robin you can make you're own name for him)

The purple haired girl with big tits is Camilla

The Big guy with blonde hair is Marx

The girl who kinda looks like Sully is Hinota

Pink haired staff girl is Sakura

The red haired samurai dude is Ryoma

No word on everyone else's names yet

I generally choose the dark side because good = boooring, but I -really- like Hinoka.

Dark doesn't necessarily mean evil.
Both the sisters you have in your Nohr family care for you. The younger one calls you ONIICHAN and the older one has translated snippets of her being concerned about you.
Your older brother from Nohr also is happy to see you become stronger.

There's also the chance that the "good" side might not be as good as they seem. They may be "peace loving", but the path to peace can be paved with dark actions.

That doesn't mean they may not be evil. You give it too simple a meaning. As a family they could be the best of lovers, they even could care and love for the other side. But if there actions are a threat to the world, and they are fully aware of it. And they do not care because of reason x, y, or z. Then they are evil.

They can't be THAT evil if they're on your side when the whole point of picking their side is to purge the evil within the nation you were raised in.

Right now Hoshido is looking to be the only choice for me gameplay wise. Everyone look up the game you will see there will be 2 versions on release and a 3rd version at a later date. What do the first two versions do? Oh that is very easy they lock your choice on which country you side with. But why Hoshido? Simple you will have a traversable map similar to Awakening, Sacred Stones, and Gaiden, allowing you to level up characters outside of the storyline chapters. And make a team of your preferred characters.

Nohr on the other hand will be like any other Fire Emblem game which has no battles outside story missions. Which means you will have to find which character archtypes you like or brave the RNG. FYI this version is supposed to me more challenging so you Intense fanatics rejoice this is the version for you.

The digital version will let you choose either side but the moment you make a choice, after chapter 6, all other playthroughs will be locked to that choice.

Oh and the 3rd version? Well its just a little somethin somethin that lets you have an option on a third choice, siding with neither Hoshido nor Nohr, as well as the other two choices without locking you like in the digital version.

For those questioning why would they go for any version besides the 3rd one. DLC will be available for all versions of IF in which the storyline not chosen will be playable on that copy of the game.

Oh and for those that want the 3rd option but went ahead and bought one of the first two versions not to worry. A third storyline option will be released as DLC sometime after release which revolves around the player choosing neither side.

Personally on which choice if nothing was affected besides the story I would go with Nohr, right now. Because based on what I have read your character was born into Hoshido royalty, but raised in Nohr. Thus in my eyes Nohr is my family's home not Hoshido.

That's implying they do two versions in the west at all.
We don't know.

@anon 6
But we don't know how Kamui came to be in Nohr. He/She might of been kidnapped under the king's orders when he/she was young.
