Are we seriously still calling the hero "my unit" even though he/she has an offical name? Hell, the last one had an official name too, which was used when he got into Smash Bros, and we still kept tagging him as "my unit".

There's going to be a version that has both campaigns in one cartridge. Just get that one.

Of course, we've heard nothing about the US release and the US direct called it by a singular game rather than multiple cartridges. Who knows, maybe they're waiting to release the Japanese two-game version to bring that over instead of trying to get us to buy two games at once.

Where was it said that Nintendo was also releasing a single-cartridge version later on? All I heard that if you buy one version, the other version is available as DLC with a discounted price.

On the official japanese site of the game, there's mention of a limited edition cartridge with both campaigns. It'll also come with the DLC third campaign, an art book and a limited edition trading card.
