I dunno, I think they could have brought a girl out to the woods and then undressed her to take a few pics before someone calls the police or even better, take her to a woods that has no police roaming around. From the looks of it that was an overcast day which would explain the white color of the lighting.

It doesn't HAVE to be fake, it just is. The girl and the background don't match up, her edges are too sharply in focus compared to the plane of the background, the lighting is off, and looking at her feet and that shadow of the left foot just proves it.

Not fake, just an odd combination of circumstances. The sky is lightly overcast at near noon, so everything is brightly yet not directly lit making shadows minimal. The focus of the camera is also odd, the uprooted tree on the right is also very sharply in focus.

Finally she was caught in mid stride with one foot off the ground, heightening the impression that she's floating in the scene. It doesn't help that her slipper is only half on, but there is also an indistinct shadow under the foot to help place the lighting.

The lighting dose make since. Her skin is pale enough that even a small amount of lighting can be seen on it, as apposed to ground which is much darker.
