I still can't believe they added this part in; in the beginning of the episode too, no less. This was originally just an extra gag-special tagged at the end of a chapter in the manga to poke fun at how Ikumi decides on her bikini top before shokugekis and other cooking events. Still funny, and it is nice they added it in. :D

@Anon1 she's actually one of the more prominent recurring female characters, and she's very much in love with Souma, though Souma's too dense to realize it, and her tsundere personality doesn't help.

@Anon1 Yeah, the interesting, confident, and most importantly Hot tomboy usually gets sidelined for the flatter, more boring cliché tsundere... or overly shy girl. It's a damn shame... then again, considering most harem protags are the weak nerdy type or cliche' perverted douche type, it's probably better the good girls don't end up with them.

Also: she is not the first girl (plot wise) we see in the manga/anime, there's this trope that "First Girl Wins" and all that. Also... "Listen up Soma, the trick to becoming a good chef: is to meet the woman you want to devote all your cooking to."
